#tbtPrimelite: While researching our collection of antique Primelite catalogs we’ve come across original black and white photographs featuring some of our early lighting fixtures. The photos are stunning and we’ll be sharing these photos in our weekly #tbtPrimelite series.

This week we are highlighting a hanging fixture from our “Scintillating Cracked Glass Globe” series from the 1960s. Always popular, these fixtures definitely reflect the styles of the time with globes available in crystal, topaz, tangerine and lime! What’s the Buzzzzz! Halloween 2015

Primelite’s very own “Great Pumpkin” made a special appearance on Halloween night. Our 20″ orange polyethylene globe dressed up as the Peanuts kids favorite pumpkin and delighted trick-or-treaters throughout the night.

Once again Primelite is lighting the way to retail goodness. This week we’re highlighting our Globe lights, Primelite #442N-863 & #442NS, which have been installed in shops of the upscale “Purveyor of Sweetness”, Lolli and Pops. Our globe lighting installations, both interior, and exterior are helping to brighten the sweet tooth of Lolli and Pop fans nationwide.

Pictured below is the Lolli and Pops shop found at the Glendale Galleria, Glendale California. Outside you are greeted by the hanging globe fixtures, Primelite #442N-863. Once inside we contribute to the sweetness with Primelite #478NS hanging globe fixtures. Lolli and Pop and Primelite Mfg. Illuminating the sweetness of California, and beyond.

#tbtPrimelite 1970s Character Globe Lights

#tbtPrimelite: Now here’s a real blast from the past! Our selection of 1970s globes included these hand painted character globes. Inspired by the children’s doll “Raggedy Ann” and clowns, these globes were Primelite’s first foray into childrens lighting fixtures.

Working with a local artist, who hand painted each globe, our “Raggedy Ann” and “Harlequie” and “Halequina” clown characters were popular children’s themes. Raggedy Ann was, and is, a classic, and clowns have always been favorite characters with children. Primary used in childrens bedrooms these fixtures were popular throughout the ’70s decade.

#then&now: While these hand painted character face globes were Primelite’s first children’s lighting fixtures, we’ve continued to offer childrens fixtures through the years. As styles and themes have changed, so have the themes of our childrens fixtures. In 2015 our childrens light fixtures have a sports related theme.
