The phrase “trying to put a square peg in a round hole” is often used to describe something that is theoretically impossible. With our Square Post #6400 Series and the included topper #2 (Pier Mount #2), you can now mount your lanterns, which were originally designed to fit a 3″ post, onto our square posts.

 

This is a perfect example of a square peg fitting into a round hole, and it’s all thanks to Primelite!

 

As you know, Primelite has been offering lanterns and coordinating posts and poles since our early days. With a wide range of post options available, including smooth, fluted, circular, and now square designs, our posts provide a sturdy foundation for your post lights. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Square Posts boast versatility in their simple yet elegant design. Made of gauge .125 4″ aluminum, these posts can be extruded up to a towering height of 20′, with 8 standard height options available. However, if your project requires a custom height, we can create a post tailored to your specific needs, up to 20 feet tall.

 

For projects where direct burial installation is not feasible, we offer a Shoe Base option (#6400 SB Series). In addition, we provide various square post top options to choose from, including a plain square post cap (#6401), a post cap with a 1/2″ female top (#6402), and a post cap with a 3/4″ female top (#6403).

Since most lanterns are designed to be mounted on a 3″ post or pole, we provide a Pier Mount topper, #2, that converts the 4″ square to accommodate lanterns with a 3″ circular base. Additionally, the Square Post Series is available with a Shoe Base, #6400 SB Series, for projects where direct burial installation is not possible.

T’was The Night Before (#2)

 

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through town square,
There was no special lighting, no bright lights, nothing there
It was a sad looking place, not a cheer filled the air
A darkened town square,  just too stark, too bare
The only light present was the glow of the moon
Well something was needed, and needed real soon

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But our Holiday Striped Posts, all ablaze in the square
On posts red, and white, and holiday striped
Like barbershop poles on this dark Christmas night

With transparently bright colors, like rainbows of light
brightly colored globes in red, clear and white,
There were blue lights and green lights and more than a few..
Looked like lollipops of color, shinning brightly of hue 

Now with crowds all on hand for this colorful sight
All ohhh-ing and ahhh-ing our prisms of bright
And they heard us exclaim, as we brightened those lights…

2′ Linear Lights w/ 90° Swivel

 

We’ve given you an introduction to some of the workhorses from our 2′ Linear light Collection. Now that we’ve established the reliable practicality of our Linears, the only thing better than one of our linear lights is our  linear lights with 90 degrees of swivel.

 

The addition of our 90° swivel (ESW) brings a flexibility to lighting that allows for a more precise angle of illumination. 

 

Once the angle is achieved, easily tighten the wing nut for a permanent and secure alignment. The ESWs flexibility also allows for easy re-adjustment if the need arises.

 

 

 

We’re highlighting a few examples from our 2′ Linear Collection’s swivel enhanced fixtures. Linear Lights #5744/861 ESW and #5744/872 ESW are 2 wall mounted fixtures with the added flexibility of the ESW. While the Linear Light #5744/1873 ESW is a good example of a swivel affixed linear post light.

 

With their smaller compact size (2′), our Linear Lights have the added benefit of being installed in areas and environments where a larger silhouette just won’t do. And with the addition of a 90° swivel these “little ones” will be casting a strong, perfectly angled and secure light.

With a 24″ light box, these fixtures contain LED25 integrated diodes and drivers offering a bold output of strong, bright and inviting light. Choose lens color; white, clear or frosted. Your order comes ready to mount and is weather rated for general exterior installations. 

 

The #5744/1850 model is also available with an added 90 degree swivel (ESW), #5744/1850 ESW, allowing a more precise angle of  illumination.

The 4′ and 8′ linear lights (#5750 & #5751 Series) need 2 outlet boxes. One electrified. The other, just for fixture stability. Our Linear Lights come pre-wired, pre-tested and ready to hang! Mount! Install! Whatever you call it. We’re there!
