Not every wall arm is a ½” IPS. If you’re mounting onto an existing ¾” IPS arm — or specifying a heavier-duty installation from the start — the #11037/16J delivers the same proven 15½” RLM shade in a fitting that works with the hardware you already have planned.
Why the ¾” IPS Top Matters
The difference between ½” and ¾” IPS is more than a pipe size — it’s a structural specification. Larger-diameter IPS fittings are used on heavier arms, longer extensions, and commercial installations where the wall connection needs to carry more load or meet a specific conduit spec. If your project calls for a ¾” IPS arm, the #11037/16J is the RLM fixture that fits.

The 15½” shade qualifies for all five lamp options including LED 48 and LED 88 — giving you full flexibility on output and color temperature regardless of which arm configuration you’re using.
How the 16J Compares to the 16A
If you’ve been following this series, you saw the ½” IPS version — the #11037/16A . The two fixtures share the same shade, the same 5′ leads, the same aluminum outdoor-rated construction, and the same full range of lamp options. The distinction is purely in the fitting: ½” IPS on the 16A, ¾” IPS on the 16J.
If your project doesn’t have an existing arm requirement driving the decision, the 16A and 16J are functionally equivalent. Choose based on the IPS size your arm specifies. When in doubt, contact Primelite — the team can help match the right fixture to the right arm for your installation.
Shade Size and Configuration Options
The 15½” nominal shade shown here is one of six diameters available across the #11037 Series: 10″, 12″, 14″, 16″, 18″, and 20″. All share the same open-bottom aluminum construction. The ¾” IPS female top is available on request for other shade sizes as well — confirm your configuration with Primelite when ordering.
Finish Options
The #11037/16J ships in Black as the standard finish shown, but is available in over 25 oven-baked powder coat colors — including White, Almond, Gray, Red, Yellow, Orange, Dark Blue, Navy Blue, Turquoise, Green, Hunter Green, Gold, Bronze Tone, and more.
