Primelite Manufacturing is proud to announce an update to our Interior Decorative Lighting Catalog, “B”. Our latest insert features four new and exciting series of interior lighting fixtures.
The Saucer Series features wall and ceiling fixtures based on the simple saucer shape. Ranging in sizes from 6″ to a magnificent 47″, all fixtures accept an Edison style silvertip bulb, available in both incandescent or LED.
We are especially excited to introduce a new line of LED fixtures, the Spider Series. Our “Spider” pendants offer clean modern lines with a smart and refreshing simplicity. Incorporating the LEDs as an integral part of the design, these chic fixtures are perfect in any modern home, industrial office space or modernly attired restaurant.
The Checkers Series of lighting fixtures was created with interior flair. These thin, steel fixtures bring a classic and classy elegance to many commercial situations including; commercial hallways, hotels, restaurants, etc. Available in incandescent or hardwired LED lamps.
Our Sputnik Series fixtures are reminiscent of the clean lines of the early space days, from a simple, 2 lamped adjustable fixture to our “Sputnik”, an eight armed sophistication of lines and lights. In contrast, “Cynthia” reworks those straight lines into a 45″ spheroid of circles and lights. And speaking of lights we highly recommend using an Edison style retro bulb as an appropriate accent for these fixtures.

#tbtPrimelite: While researching our collection of antique Primelite catalogs we came across original black and white photographs featuring some of our early lighting fixtures. The photos are stunning and over the upcoming weeks we will be sharing these photos in our weekly #tbtPrimelite series.
This week we’re highlighting fixture #7312, a 12 candelabra chandelier. As you can see this is old school photography. It does appear that the light reflections on the glass shades were “enhanced.” But rather than the digital magic of today, these light reflections & glow appear to have been actually painted on the photo! As was common in the days before Photoshop. Old school photo touchups and special effects were done by hand and on the actual photo! By artists! Something that is now long gone.
Anyway, chandelier #7312 came with 12 6 x 60 watt candelabras, glass shades and was available in different finishes; Polished Brass, Old English, and Pewter.
#details #details #details: Its said that perfection is all in the details! Upon closer reflection you can see traces of the actual photographic shoot. Look closely at the brass globe at the bottom of the chandelier and you can see the reflection of the photo studio where the photo was shot. Now look closely at a candelabra. You can see the painted highlights on the glass shade and candelabra bulb. Another artistic touch from a very talented retoucher.
