The Dark Sky mantra has long been an inspiration here at Primelite Mfg. We truly believe in the objectives and goals of the Dark Sky movement and have worked consistently to offer stylish, efficient, reliable and economical Dark Sky friendly fixtures. It is our goal to help bring the stars back to the skies through responsible lighting.
Right now it’s virtually impossible to see the stars above most cities across the globe. The urban skyglow is so intense that it basically obliterates any chance of viewing the stars above.
Have you ever seen, in person or a photo, the night sky from places far away from the city lights? Its almost as if you can see the whole galaxy itself! Stars, stars and stars for as far as the eyes can see. Truly magical!
Primelite’s Dark Sky Cast Lanterns
It is with this dedication that we are highlighting 2 lanterns from our Dark Sky friendly collection; Lantern #1327 DS LED and Lantern #1333 DS LED. Both lanterns are constructed of cast aluminum, with their electrical components, LEDs and drivers installed within the head of the fixture. Thus ensuring light output is reflected down, illuminating the area below, with no upward light spill or extraneous illumination. We work hard to make sure our lighting, once installed, does not add to any existing skyglow.

Dark Sky Cast Lantern #1333
Dark Sky Cast Lantern #1333 DS – Large Cast Aluminum Lantern (18″ x 8″), Classic Lantern Silhouette, Dark Sky friendly, fits atop any 3″ Post and Poles.
The LED elements, including the diodes, drivers, and electrical components, are installed in the fixture’s head. This ensures lighting illuminated down with no light spill over 180 Degrees. The acrylic lens in the hood prevents any possibility of glare and light bounce upward. This is maximum efficiency fixture, since no light is wasted.
The #1333 Lanterns are available in 3 Dark Sky LED options; LED12, LED22, LED40 | 3K, 4K. (Lumens listed below)
